We’d usually pass judgement on Christmas adverts, picking apart the story and meaning. But commenting on the 2014 Sainsbury’s Christmas advert would distract from it’s powerful and dramatic story line, and give too much away.
It’s a true tale of the Christmas truce in 1914 featuring British and German soldiers, and needless to say it’s worth the wait. And for us, is more emotional than the latest John Lewis Christmas adverts, which hit a peak a few years ago with the 2011 ‘Surprise’ concept.
