Doing the right thing. Raising awareness. Helping others. Having fun. Being very very manly, being really really good looking and having spiffing facial hair. All part of WE CAN’s core values (mostly). So it was only right that WE CAN take part in Movember to kick cancer in the balls.
Movember’s vision is a fine one indeed, which is to have an everlasting positive impact on the face of men’s health. Globally, they are committed to supporting three of the biggest health issues facing men:
- prostate cancer
- testicular cancer
- mental health
All of these are nasty. And do NOT align with our own values. So funds raised by the Movember community in the UK and around the world are invested in programs that directly support to tackle those nasty things in four key program areas including:
- awareness and education
- living with and beyond cancer
- staying mentally healthly, living with and beyond mental illness
The only issue we face with supporting Movember, is that with only one of the two directors being men, our creative director already having rather fine facial hair, and our junior designer being a student struggling to grow any at all, there’s not much support. But thankfully Graham and Jack are doing their very best. So with that in mind, here’s a few photos of the progress so far (marginal).
